Global Film Festival 4/10

Join UR in celebrating traditional music and dance from around the world. This family friendly festival features free live performances by local andn visiting music ensembles at various outdoor locations across the UR campus, culminating in a performance by the Mandingo Ambassadors, a West African Afropop Group. All events are free and open to public. Free parking at Modlin center.

Race into Spring Festival 4/9/11

Now that the flowers are starting to “spring” up, Richmond International Raceway is celebrating the return of the spring season with its second annual Race Into Spring Festival. Kids of all ages are invited to this free event Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for lots of family-friendly activities!
In its second year, the Race Into Spring Festival displays have more than tripled, offering families more fun activities to enjoy.  
This year’s fun-filled event features:

Petting zoo, featuring an alpaca, sheep, goat, rabbit, pony, pig, chicken and ducks
 Candy-filled egg hunts for children, ages 0-12 (times listed below)
 Complimentary snacks: popcorn, lemonade and water
Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and sodas will be available for purchase
Face painting
 Moon Bounce and The “Big” Race Bounce/Slide
