The festival is a go, regardless of the weather. Below are the times for those interested:

As with last year, a $2 donation will be collected at the gates.

Consignments Sale 3/5-3/6

Ring Around the Rosy is having their annual consignment sale!  You can catch them this go around at 10185 hull Street Road near the intersection of Hull and Courthouse in the Big lots Shopping Center near Costco.  I have already shopped and got my daughter the most beautiful dresses including a Maggie and Zoe for $12 with tags still on, all her bathing suits, new toys for the boy...and my Dad even picked up a Dooney and Burke purse for my Mom.

I have consigned with this sale for 2 years now and I like the ease, the selection, the order, and the flexibility of the owners.  Great stuff, less stress, and I make lots of money! 

If you go have a list, bring something to lug the stuff in and think about consigning with them this summer!

Math and Science Saturdays

Did you know that Richmond has an AWESOME Mathematics and Science Center where most of the area school systems help to support it?  Well, go on over to the site and look at the offerings.  For $30 on a Saturday, you can expose your child to Robotics. Crime Scene Chemistry and many other offerings.  They even offer Summer Camps and School Bus pickups.  What a WONDERFUL way to give your child a head start on College and Career Readiness.

Summer Camp Registration March 12, 2011

Henrico County offers some of the best camp deals around.  They even offer Scholarships!  Camps are for ages 3-17 and they even have camps for children with special needs.  Camps fill up fast!!!!! Special tip: Confederate Hills has less people there signing up.  The West End sign ups have had people out of the door in the past!  Get there on time and have everything filled out on Camp Day if you want a slot!

Kite Day, Dorey Park 3/5

Last year Kite Day was FABULOUS...I even have pictures posted.  It will be interesting maneuvering with 2 little ones this year.  Here are the details:
Saturday, March 5, 10-4 with demonstrations all throughout the day.  They give out free kites but you need to get there early to get one.  If you plan to buy one, get one before Saturday, the less expensive ones were hard to find in Eastern Henrico the day of that year. best of all: FREE!!!
