Event Overview

The 6th annual Touch a Truck is a unique, interactive, one-day event which allows children to see, touch, and explore their favorite big trucks and vehicles as well as to meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build the Richmond community. Vehicles on display routinely include construction trucks, emergency responders, tractor trailers, utility trucks and helicopters. The event also features area mascots, special performances, snack bars, face painting, inflatables, games, crafts and a bazaar of local vendors. Please help spread the word about this wonderful event by posting this flyer in your office breakroom, emailing to friends and family, and placing in other community areas!

Over 2,500 people attended Touch a Truck 2010 and over $20,000 was raised!

Proceeds directly assist the League with its programmatic work in serving children and families in the Richmond community. Thanks to the dedication of our corporate partners, Touch a Truck has quickly become a favorite event for Richmond families and attendance continues to grow each year.

The Junior League of Richmond invites the community-at-large to participate in Touch a Truck through the purchase of individual tickets online or at the gate on event day. VIP tickets and family packages are available online and only through advanced purchase. Click here to review pricing and to purchase your 2011 Touch a Truck tickets.

The Junior League of Richmond underwrites the cost of tickets for children and their families from JLR programs for whom the ticket price is not feasible. Classroom Sponsorships of $100 can be purchased online by clicking the above link or by phone at 804-643-4886, extension 11.

Tickets purchased online will be available at Will Call on event day and will not be mailed. Will Call is located at the main gate of Richmond International Raceway. Children under 1 year-of-age admitted free.

Touch a Truck offers sponsors an excellent opportunity to interact with parents, children, League members, and the Richmond community-at-large. There are multiple ways for your organization to participate: full-fledge sponsorship, truck participation, food sales, retail vendor, raffle donation or purchase an ad in the event map.
